Do not bring junk food into the house. Your child probably won’t ask for junk food if you don’t keep it in your home.Consider these items as special treats that are reserved for certain times of the year, such as during Halloween and Christmas.

You need to recognize that not every child is outgoing. Some children can be shy and withdrawn, and there is nothing wrong with that. If that is the case, take your child to a physician to see if there are any physical or psychological issues that may be affecting them.

Children love praise; give it to them when they behave well. If they do not feel they are getting the attention they need when they have positive behavior, they may seek out attention by behaving badly instead. Parents who don’t give children with positive attention for being good may actually encouraging potentially bad behavior.

Anger is not take you anywhere as a parent. Parents must model the self-control they want their kids. Parents must understand that children when they make mistakes.

Lavender Oil

If your baby is inconsolable, try to rub your neck with lavender oil and hold your baby. The smell should calm and soothe the child. Lavender oil is extremely calming and also be an effective means of soothing your baby before nap time.

Orange juice works great, but you can just add some sugar to it as an alternative. The drop will go right into the eye when the child opens up their eye.

Do not give into your child everything he wants. You do not want to let your child thinks they can use emotional responses to manipulate you emotionally.

A consistent routine is very helpful for raising a well-behaved child who is well-adjusted, so make this a priority.

If your child is misbehaving and trying to draw attention to him- or herself, (which is extremely normal) it is a perfect time to teach them how to share and wait for their turn. If your toddler is acting stubborn, try putting them in a time-out, such as putting them in time-out.

If you are expecting a second or third child, you need to be prepared for the extra drain on your time and attention; you also need to be prepared for the fact that your attention will need to be focused on one child over another at times. Knowing this alleviates you a lot of guilt when having to choose.
